The painting shows two characters, the one on the left side represents the "Body" and the one on the right side the "Soul". On the side of the body there is a triangle whose base is down, graphing what is "Big down and small up". On the right side there is a triangle whose base is up, graphing what is "Large above and small below". Together they share a book, which shows the union of both illustrated in a Magen David.
